They wanted us to take a fresh look at their business and take small steps that would have the most impact as cost effectively as possible.

Thame Roofing a roofing company established for 45 years. They asked us to review their business and current marketing activities and come up with some thoughts on how we could help them grow.

THEIR NEED:

Thame Roofing needed to ensure they maximised the potential of their business especially now the recession is official. What they wanted was simply to attract more customers. Word of mouth was working well for them, but they wanted to spread the net, in their words “move with the times”.

OUR SOLUTION:

After 45 years of trading this family run business had not changed it’s approach to marketing. Although their reputation had put them in good stead for the future we wanted to ensure that they would still be in business for the next 45 years and to do that some changes were needed.

Our first thought was the brand of the company.

Thame Roofing needed a strong yet simple identity that gave a clean recognisable image. That would reflect a friendly yet professional approach that customers would trust.

Starting with their logo we created a strong image that would be noticed both on the fleet of vehicles great for local advertising and whilst on jobs. A logo that would work well on all paper-based collateral and on their new website.

Until now, a web sites had not been a consideration. Looking at the local search volumes online for roofing services we concluded that a web site would become a major asset for this well-established company. We researched the most popular (SEO) search terms for their business locally and due to the structure of their web site we were able to not only get them into Google fast, but create instant targeted traffic with internet marketing. They were amazed at the level of enquiries within just 4 weeks from launch.

They were delighted with the instant increase in revenue.

Although the their website www.thameroofing.co.uk is a simple site the idea was to use most of their budget on internet marketing to catch buying traffic from the search engines. Within 4 weeks of the site launch Thame Roofing had secured over £3700 of new business straight from Google. Thame roofing is now 100% committed to further site development for internet marketing and SEO.

Press coverage

We were also tasked with getting Thame Roofing local press coverage. The first piece was launched from the Bucks Herald on the 28th January 2009. There are many plans for further growth so this page will be updated as the story grows. In the first 4 weeks from launch the coverage and exposure has been more than they could have expected even during this terrible recession.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that Thame Roofing becomes the local brand that
households turn to for help and advice.
