Communication agency talks websites for small businesses

When we looked at what type of website to offer small businesses we discovered even small business would rather pay to get their website looking right rather than saving money with our self-build products it seems the value we added was more important than the cost.

Websites prices was not the biggest driver for converting prospects into customers

So websites for under £4.00/month was not the answer

We have build your own website for just a few pounds a month which we thought was a great cost effective way for any small business to start their web presence.

What we discovered was most of our customers wanted us to look after the whole design and build process even thought the costs were significantly higher.

If price was not the driver to buy our websites what was?

Starting at £300 the costs for website design is still low, but still far more expensive than the few pounds a month we thought would fly off the shelves.

Customers wanted to add their own pages

Next we discovered that all our customers were excited at the prospect of being able to add their own pages and pictures after it’s been built with the simple website editor. This gave them not only huge flexibility for growth and change, but also gave them a huge cost saving with ongoing website development.

They also wanted email marketing

In addition, they could add thier own posts which were linked to an RSS feed & email sign-up tool, which meant their posts would be sent to their email subscribers automatically. This simple email marketing tool keeps their business front of mind with news product and service changes, pricing updates and much more. Best of all this was included in the price.

These simple factors were a huge selling point. The combination of the low price for the site, the professional website design quality normally reserved for websites 4 times the price, the free blog and email marketing off the RSS feed was enough to wet the appetite of our potential buyers but we knew they wanted more.

On top of all those benefits our customers bought because…

We then helped our customers with marketing ideas of how they could get the best from their website. Now our customers are seeing real value in our service.

We showed them how to turn their websites into scaleable businesses.

From developing online courses to make their business scaleable, from fee based membership sites for premium content to selling products straight off the page.

We don’t just set-up a website and wave goodbye. Our goal is to keep adding value by teaching our customers how to use their website so they are an effective hub of information designed to convert visitors into buyers, and a brilliant sales tool to support their sales and marketing efforts.

From downloadable brochures to offline marketing such as advertising, direct mail, competitions etc all pointing to the website to capture data, because as we all know visitors may not want to buy today, but they might be in the market at some point during the year so this data is critical to not lose that sale to a competitor.

So for us the starting point is the website and it seems our customers agree, they want a great service to help them grow their business.

We discovered that customers don’t want a website

It’s not a website they want, it’s an effective sales tool that will positively impact their business. It’s flipsem.com’s job to give them exactly that.
